Bhola Shankar: A Telugu Cinematic Gem by Chiranjeevi and Mehras Ramesh

Bhola Shankar Telugu movie

The Telugu movie “Bhola Shankar,” direct by Chiranjeevi and Mehra Ramesh, presents an unfavorable sense of going back in time over the years. The film recycles tired, clich themes in the hope that the star power of Chiranjeevi, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Kirti Suresh will make up for its weak plot. The eight-year-old Tamil film “Vedalam,” starring Ajith, was earlier remade by Mehra Ramesh, who is credit with “Story Development,” but it had a limit impact. What we witness is a concoction of a painful sibling connection, a cardboard-villain character, a strong woman who adds to mindless amusement, along with wholly stupid, flavorless humor, combine with quick, forgettable music.

The events of the movie take place in beautiful Kolkata. Beyond the city’s notable monuments, such as the Bengali language, the iconic Howrah Bridge, and the bustling Durga Puja festivals, several moments that accurately convey the feel of the location have been meticulously shot on sets. Shankar (Chiranjeevi) and his sister Mahalakshmi (Kirti Suresh) travel to the city together. The beginning of their trip is when he enrolls her in a fine arts program.

If I’m not mistaken, there seems to be a mention of his study of architecture throughout his college courses as the movie goes on. But that doesn’t matter; there’s no need to dwell on or remember such specifics. We shouldn’t ponder their specifics or dispute their applicability. Like the character play by Smriti Haani, who experiences her hardships, his character travels the path of sadness, possibly helping us to accept it. In the midst of all of this, the story seems to make a cheeky allusion to Shankardada, a different well-known Shankar play by Chiranjeevi, to keep us interest in the web of links.

In conclusion, the story of “Bhola Shankar” is set in Kolkata, reflecting the essence of the city’s cultural diversity and dynamics via skillfully written scenes and likable characters.
